I've started the work on ZU v2.5 and it is not even close at being done (;)).
However, I have added a few things, and I might as well get your feedback asap ;D
You can grab the new beta here: http://www.zsoft.dk/downloads/Beta.rar
This is what's planned for v2.5 (strike-through means added)
New tool: Empty folder searcherNew tool: Autostart-program-managerNew tool/feature: A merge of the 'scan-registry-feature' in a previous beta (note that this was removed in the final release of v2.4), the 'is-this-the-folder'-feature from when uninstalling and the folder wasn't removed and a new one that scans the start-menu and desktop for leftovers - all as a 'after-uninstaller-scan' (it should also be possible to launch it without a 'real uninstall' so you can use it to uninstall programs that doesn't have an uninstaller, or where the uninstall function doesn't work) (partially finished)Show info about selected program on the left (partially finished)Backup-routine so you can undo a 'delete' from the Installed Programs list- In-program help

- Backup-routine so you can undo a 'delete' from the Installed Programs list
ZU have a backup feature (TMP Finder) that the common cleaners don't have (e.g. CCleaner). To uninstall feature it hasn't... So it is welcomed.
A general "backup registry uninstall info" it seems a good idea too (just in case of...). A "backup uninstall manager" where these two kinds of backups and the analysed'logs backups can also to be include is an idea. Through that the user would to see/delete the unnecessaries uninstall backups.
-
Good idea.
-
Hmm...In this build, it seems that when using the tmp file finder and the empty folder finder, there is a tiny lag in the beginning before actually searching. The tmp file finder never did this before on my comp. Maybe it is just me?
-
I haven't changed the temp file finder, so it must be just a coincidence...
-
New build uploaded.
-
Hmm...the search in registry function has a lot of false positives. I know its still in development so I'm not expecting that much. But it looks very promising!
Other than that, I think its just me, but every once in a while, the entire program freezes (when uninstall apps)
-
Other than that, I think its just me, but every once in a while, the entire program freezes (when uninstall apps)
I hope it's just you as well :)
Anyone else experienced this?
About the false positives... at the moment the publisher is added to the search which (might) give false positives... you can try removing it yourself and see if it helps (in a later version it won't be added)
-
A few notes about the TMP file finder:
1. The vertical scroll bar has a minor display issue - the bar overlaps the down arrow
2. After the scan, there are no obvious controls to do anything with the files. I right clicked on a file and found the context menu. I don't think the context menu is the right control to use because the menu items apply to everything in the list, regardless of which item you right click on. A context menu normally provides functions for selected items only. A better option may be to add a group box with the four commands as buttons.
3. Settings group box should be just below the Start Search button to make it clear that the options should be looked at before searching.
4. What does "Backup & Delete" do? Does it allow a restore afterward?
EDIT: Oops, I didn't notice that the TMP search wasn't new in the BETA.
-
1. Not much I can do about that (I think)...
2. I think the right-click menu is a pretty good match. You can rightclick without having anything selected, but then a click won't do nothing. And if you have a single file selected the right-click action only affects that file...
3. ---
4. The backup & delete function copies the file to a folder inside the ZU install folder and deletes the original file (or, actually it just moves the original file, but the outcome is the same)... You can then - by pressing the 'Backups' button restore the files if needed...
-
Empty Folders Finder:
It's a handy tool. :D
Maybe "Start Scan" and "Removed Selected" buttons are too long. And maybe the two buttons should be in the same line (where is "Start Scan").
Search:
If I have a app. named Acrypt it's found entries like (between others):
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\System.Security.Cryptography.DSACryptoServiceProvider
If I have a app. named Copier it's found entries like (between others):
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Adaptec\Easy CD Creator\5.0\CDCopier.exe
HKU\...\Software\Adaptec\Adaptec Shared\CDEngine\Devices\Roxio Disc Copier
If I have a app. named Adobe Reader it's found entries like (between others):
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\Applications\Foxit Reader.exe
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\Applications\FOXITR~1.EXE\shell\FriendlyCache ; Data : Foxit Reader
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{...}\(Default) ; Data : System.Threading.ReaderWriterLock
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\Interface\{...}\(Default) ; Data : IAsyncReader
HKU\...\Software\Foxit Software\Foxit Reader
HKU\...\Software\MGShareware\FreeRIP\CDReader
HKU\...\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\Reader SpeedUp!
So, I think that the 1) "DisplayName", 2) Uninstall Entry Name, 3) Installation Folder Name (not the path), 4) "Publisher" should be removed from the standard (default) search.
When I do that the result is far more reliable. And I think it's better for the common user - that doesn't must to know registry issues (he only wants that the application does a good work).
-
Hmm... by removing all those strings there's not much left... I agree that the publisher should be removed though...
The other errors could, as I see it, be remedied if the search-term was removed if it is to short / common, and the results only added to the list if contains the entire search-term (actually I thought this was the case already... better go look at the code ::)), and uses a 'whole words only' thing...
What have I gotten myself into :o
Oh, and as said in another thread I'm busy right now, so don't expect a new version right away ;)

Just in case...
When the user double click (or enter), the uninstaller application process begin. It will better a ZU prompt firstly.
Something like when prompt after "Delete" button registry entry:
---------------------------
Are you sure?
---------------------------
Are you sure you want to uninstall ?
---------------------------
Yes No
---------------------------
And the worst - after the user click NO (bis: NO) in app uninstaller'prompt - comes out this sometimes (very dangerous):
---------------------------
Folder might not be gone
---------------------------
I think that this was the folder the program was installed into:
C:\(...)
Is that correct?
Do you wish to remove this directory? (This can't be reversed!)
---------------------------
Yes No
---------------------------
And "Yes" is highlight by default!... Uff...

Hi,

No it doesn't :P
Try cleaning your browser cache and download again...

'ANSI_CHARSET' => 'DEFAULT_CHARSET' in newest beta...
-
Polish traslation thanks to Piotr Dygdalowicz and automatic backup of installation-logs to 'LogBackups' folder in new beta.
-
New beta saves state of check-boxes i the 'uninstall analyzed installation' window, defaults on 'no' for a couple of extra things and fixes a 'not-important' bug...
-
If I add a path'directoryname in search windows, the finder thinks that it's a registry entry (value).
-
Yes... it searches the registry... if you have a path to add you could just as well delete it yourself (you already found it yourself)...
Right?
-
Understood.
Like it also finds Start menu items, I think it does that by default - unlike e.g. SendTo menu.
-
Well, yeah, start-menu too... I'll add the SendTo menu :)
-
New beta uploaded...
Btw, what information do you guys want on the left when a program is selected? I added the name of the program, the publisher and the version... Want anything else?
Also, I've done some work on the 'after-uninstall-scanner' thing (now called 'Post Uninstall') and it now replaces the 'directory not gone' feature... (Post Uninstall still isn't complete though, i.e. it doesn't let you delete stuff from within the program yet). It saves data from every uninstall though, so you can go back and do a Post Uninstall later on, once the feature is complete (or you can stick with the previous beta or current non-beta).
Feedback appreciated :)

Info tab:
It seems to me that it will a good idea to have there the Install Folder linked. The user could open the folder easily.
When is selected Analyze/Hiden tabs (or a app. inside it), the previous selected app. in Program tab is recorded in info tab. It will be better if when such tabs are selected the info tab is changed for the default view.
-
Yes... I'll update that in the next release :)
-
This post is mainly intended to thank you for this great program.
But just to justify posting at all, I'll throw some suggestions around. ;D
There is one thing that is a bit "problematic". Sometimes it is not possible to delete all recorded items, no matter how often you try. This could simply be because something unrelated (from another program) changed. In other words, it could be irrelevant. But there is no way of knowing that.
Would it be possible, within the way the way the program works (without having to modify it heavily), to update the log by removing items that were successfully deleted from it in case uninstalling was incomplete?
And, of course, thank you for this wonderful and useful program.
-
Well, this problem is already being addressed, actually... (at least I think so ;))
When you uninstall an analyzed application, and something can't be removed it is added to a 'try to delete' list, and the file(s) and/or registry entry/entries will then be deleted the next time you open ZSoft Uninstaller (ZU) (or rather ZU will try again -- it still may not be successful) - and it will keep trying every time you open the application until it succeeds...
You can see this 'internal list' by browsing to the ZU installation folder and opening 'trydelete.dat' (as far as I remember) in notepad (or something similar).
If I misunderstood you please ask again =)
-
I think you slightly misunderstood. What user4 meant (I have the same thinking style) was for the items that have successfully been removed, why not remove them from the log as well (or provide an option to prompt whether the user wants to)? Why the inefficient method of attempting to uninstall by the entire log again and again when it could easily be shrukened and updated?
-
Soyabeaner understood what I meant to say. Sometimes uninstalling just doesn't work (even though the program that was supposed to be uninstalled may have been removed 100%). An updated log will almost certainly indicate what was\is causing the problem and whether it is something that can be ignored or not.
With the current situation, I try to uninstall a few times and if it still fails I delete the log, hoping everything went well (but not knowing the culprit).
-
You don't have to uninstall the log again and again. If you do it once, any failures are added to a new list from which ZU will then try again (by itself)...
So, I don't really see the point in the 'update the log'... That being said though, I think it'd be pretty easy to do, so I'll add it to my todo list...
-
You mean the TryDelete.dat? Is it viewable through Notepad like the .zulog files?
Sometimes I know certain reg entries cannot be deleted no matter how many attempts because they are shared by other software currently in use.
-
Yes, it's viewable trough notepad... It's not the same format as the zulog files, but it's plaintext...
-
Ignore list (Bug?)
I noticed that when I try to add a folder with "Add item to ignore-list" (Edit Analyzed Log tab), it hasn't effect in a future new analyze.
It seems that the reason is: the folder comes out (in Ignore List'tab) like: C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch
If I add through Ignore List'tab: C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch\ (with "\" in the end). Here it works well.
I don't know if there is similar annoyance with registry entries.
-
It seems that there aren't any annoyance with registry entries'ignore list (through Edit Analyzed Log tab).
Folders only.
:-\
-
Sorry for not getting back on this sooner... It's fixed in the newest beta. I think ;)
(New beta uploaded)
-
Yes, the ignore list issue is fixed. So you think very well... 8)
Open install folder is working well (and the icon). ;) Post uninstall manager is useful (a delete'right click to remove old items perhaps?). It seems also that user4/soyabeaner'request is ok too.
Is it forecasted that the items will be deleted to recycle bin in search feature?
:)
-
Right-click delete of post-install is a good idea -- I'll add it =)
About the search feature, yes, I think deleting files to the recycle bin is the way to go (that way users can undo it themselves) (or, maybe giving the user options like 'delete to bin', 'backup and delete', 'delete' just as in the temp-file-remover..?)... And automatically backing up the registry entries...
-
How about an invalid shortcuts finder that supports x64 Vista? I've encountered many program uninstalled without removing the shortcuts...
-

How about scan and log executable filenames in installation folders, uninstall the program, search the logged filenames in registry? I also strongly suggest registry cleaner to use ignore list either from Analyze Installation or seperate one when searching for remanence. With ignore list, then I can use ZSoft Uninstaller on Vista x64. ;D

New build uploaded...
New stuff:
- Tools -> Uninstall external application (allows you to use the 'post uninstaller' on applications with no uninstaller (i.e. you choose the exe file from the install dir, and ZU makes it scan)
- A few bug-fixes
- Probably some other small stuff that I've forgotten... ;)
-
New build uploaded...
The 'Post Uninstaller' feature will now highlight stuff in bold, if it contains one of the search-words in a 'whole word fashion'.
If one of the search-words is 'web', the 'Post Uninstaller' will find stuff with 'web' in it. That could be 'See you on the web', 'Made by Webster', 'wwweb ,o)', etc. etc. etc. That's how it was, and that's how it still is. With this addition, only 'See you on the web' (in the example) will also be highlighted in bold (as it contains the WORD 'web').
Hope you understand :)
-
New build uploaded...
New stuff:
- The Post Uninstall Scanner now shows a progressbar (if it has data for it... i.e. you won't see the progress-bar the first time, but after that, you will).
- New 'Post Uninstall Scanner registry searching engine' (what a name :D) (in a quick speed comparison, the scanner is now ~twice as fast... won't guarantee it though ;))
Please let me know if you have any problems. Pretty please :)
-
New build uploaded...
New stuff:
- The Post Uninstall Scanner now also searches for folders in the 'Application Data' folder (and 'Local Settings\Application Data). (It searches the 'main folder' and goes one (and only one) folder down.*)
- A few in-program-help bulbs with hints has finally been added (thanks to Rui Morais for the idea and some of the hint-texts, and majalidic for the bulb-icon)
* So, if you have a folder structure like this: 'Application Data\Whatever\Hi\There', it will get 'Whatever', go one down and get 'Hi', but not go any further. Hope you understand.
-
New build uploaded...
New stuff;
- Functions -> Registry Backups (just a front end for the dirs 'PostUninstallRegBackup' and 'Deletes' though... When double clicking the *.reg file is launched)
- Right-clicking and choosing Delete (in main window) now creates a backup (undo from 'Registry Backups' --- see above) (in Installed Programs and Hidden Programs tab... when deleting from the Analyzed Programs tab the file is (now) deleted to the recycle bin)
- When you in the Post Uninstaller tries to delete a folder, you will be asked to re-confirm if the folder contains a lot of data (> 50 mb, or > 750 files) (this should provide additional security)
-
Uff... When I'm trying a beta, comes another... >:D
One thing is the same in all beta: in post uninstall'progressbar is "Plese Wait" instead of "Please Wait".
So I wait...
;D
-
It'll be fixed in the next upload ;)
Other than that, how is it working out for you?
-
Until now it seems that hasn't annoyances. I'm trying uninstall some app. with good performance - post uninstall feature. To test it I'm using Returnil - great tool!
The bigger point to me is to handle with it to see if it is easy-to-use for a common user. This is crucial, I think.
A very good and great work - the users will appreciate it.
:)
-
New build uploaded...
-
I noticed that if a file is locked (e.g. the app.'uninstaller needs to reboot to delete the file) Post Uninstall doesn't handle with that (item stay listed even if checked to deletion). To add it inside "trydelete" perhaps?
Far better post unistall within ZSoft'interface than popup windows (like before). ::)
-
Hmm... Maybe the user should be asked if (s)he wants the file/folder added to the trydelete thingy when the file/folder is locked... I'll add it to my todo list...
-
It seems to me that the tooltips are too quick to read (at least in english...). To delay it a bit more seconds ?
:-X
-
Sure, I'll double the time in the next release... (Until then I guess you will have to click on the bulb then ;) :P)
-
Any news about 2.5?
Is it coming out of Beta?
-
At some point, sure... But I'm really really busy with other things right now, so I haven't worked on it in a while... hopefully I'll get some time soon though.
-
I sure appreciate the time you are taking to create a good app.

Build 70 uploaded...
Some things are now done in a new way... please report back with problems =)
-
It seems that "Alternative Uninstall", "Silent Uninstall" and "Modify" doesn't work. ;D The default uninstall comes out.
BTW why to have the "Alternative Uninstall" item?
-
They work... (as well as possible, any way)
The alternative uninstall is a fix for the Java uninstall problem...
Basically, how the uninstall data works is like this:
In a special part of the registry each uninstall item has a key, in which there, among other things, are values called
- 'DisplayName' - that's the name of the program that is displayed in the software
- 'UninstallString' - that's the command that ZSoft Uninstaller runs to uninstall an application
- 'QuiteUninstallString' - that's a command that can be run to uninstall the application in silent mode... Only some installers support this, but if the value is there (and is different from the 'UninstallString') the 'Silent Uninstall' will be presented in ZU...
- 'ModifyPath' - as the 'QuiteUninstallString' this isn't always available, but if it is, and is different from the 'UninstallString' it will also show up in ZU.
The Java uninstall-problem was (is), that its uninstall-string is defined as something like 'MsiExec.exe /I{bla}', in which it only allows modify and reinstall (as far as I recall). ZU now 'handles' this by allowing you to select 'Alternative Uninstall' for applications which uninstall-string is 'MsiExec.exe /I{bla}' -- this will instead run 'MsiExec.exe /X{bla}' --- and the application should now be able to uninstall... I haven't made this the default behavior, because I'm not quite sure it is always interpreted the same way... Maybe I'll do a little research and eventually make it the default-behavior, but for now, that's the way it is...
Oh, and as I mentioned, the new options should only come up when they are available... So if an application doesn't have a 'Silent Uninstall' option, you won't (shouldn't at least... Please report back if you can select these options for everything!) see that option...
Oh, and on another node, this build should now be able to run windows installer uninstallers in safe mode (it does this with a registry hack... should be safe though).
-
Are you sure? ??? ;)
Because to me they don't work definitively... I tried with several app. that have such items and comes out the default uninstaller ('UninstallString') ever. If I use 'QuiteUninstallString', 'ModifyPath' and 'MsiExec.exe /X{bla}' in Start > Run all is ok. When I use ZU ("Alternative Uninstall", "Silent Uninstall" and "Modify") it thinks that it's 'UninstallString' ever...
1. "Please report back if you can select these options for everything!" - no problems here.
2. "Maybe I'll do a little research and eventually make it the default-behavior, but for now, that's the way it is..." - in spite of your reseach and conclusions IMO it seems that it should be the default-behavior. In fact the parameter /X forces to uninstall in Windows Installer ever.
3. Thus "Silent Uninstall" and "Modify/Repair" items is enough (IMO of course...). Unlike "Silent Uninstall" - that will be presented in ZU if the value is there (and is different from the 'UninstallString') - "Modify/Repair" should be presented ever (even if the same that 'UninstallString') like Add/remove does. 'Uninstall' needs to force uninstall with /X in uninstallers Windows Installer'based.
4. BTW, if the user has the app. in 'Hidden Programs' tab these context menu options don't comes out.
-
Your right :-X
I forgot to change a variable... Build 71 uploaded, and NOW it should work :)
1) Good =)
2) Well, as I said, I haven't yet done any research
3) Probably correct... I'll still have to do that research though...
4) Yeah, I know... haven't gotten around to it yet :)
-
All options working like a charm now... :)
-
For some reason I have a strange issue with the latest version 2.5.0.71 Beta:
The before analyze doesn't work; in fact I have two registry keys (only!) in HKU_1.txt (HKU \) and HKLM_1.txt (HKLM \). There aren't more keys analyzed! ::)
Help please... :'( :'( :'(
-
Uupps ::)
Fixed in new build!
-
Thanks.
:D
-
I quess I could just change the file name but during download I wanted to insert ZSoft and the word Uninstaller so I could recognize it from the cryptic file name provided. I don't figure I'll use it daily--could be wrong. Thor
-
This is just a small feature suggestion, I dunno how hard it would be to implement.
You know that box that says "Please enter program name"? Maybe you could have the scanner run a scan for present program names, and then afterward it can scan for new names and suggest it in the box. If the program installed more than one, just make a dropdown box.
The beta's great and I don't really expect this feature, though; just my suggestion O0
-
Info tab icon:
The icons in info tab aren't the same that in listed app..
I think it should be the same icon...
-
Hmmm.... What program(s) are they not the same for?
As far as I remember, I programmed them to show the same picture (and it does for me) :-X
-
Hmmm.... What program(s) are they not the same for?
E.g. ZSoft Uninstaller... ;D
It seems it catch the UninstallString icon only. Unlike what ZU does in listed programs.
-
Touché :)
I've noticed (and fixed) a small bug that made it always look in the current user part of the registry when looking for the 'DisplayIcon' string... (looked the right place for 'DisplayIconEx' though)...
New build uploaded --- does it work now? :)

Where do I find the latest build of 2.5 beta
-
In the first post:
You can grab the new beta here: http://www.zsoft.dk/downloads/Beta.rar
:)
-
When are you expecting to release the final build of v. 2.5.
-
I unfortunately have no idea
-
Is the current build of v. 2.5 betat stable and safe for a novice user?
Or, would it be better to stay with v. 2.41?
-
The v2.5 beta is an improvement over v2.4.1... some of the new features might need some polishing, but it should generally be safe... (but, as always, don't delete stuff if your not sure what you're doing!)
-
Thanks for the help.
-
I have v. 2.41 installed on my computer and have used it to analyze many installed apps. I want to upgrade to v. 2.5 beta. I am wondering how best to install the new version and maintain my analyzed apps.
Can I install the current build of v. 2.5 beta on top of the v. 2.41? Will this preserve my analyzed installed apps so I can still use zu to uninstall?
-
Yeah... The v2.5 beta is rar file, that is you have to unpack it... you then just unpack it on top of v2.4.1 (or unpack it and copy-paste the unpacked files on top of v2.4.1) and that should be it.
-
Build 80 uploaded... If you create a file called 'settings.ini' it will go into portable mode, and load&save all it's settings to/from that file... (You will need to cleanup the registry (if you already use the non-portable version) yourself though... (delete 'HKLM\Software\ZSoft'))
-
Hi,
thanks for the great program. Version 2.5 will be a treat. :)
I wanted to help by reporting 2 bugs:
1.) I cannot see the "Next" button on the post uninstall scan window (same for badware searcher window). Maximizing or increasing size does not help either.
(http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/4216/snap095.png) (http://img263.imageshack.us/i/snap095.png/)
2.) Badware finder wrongly reports find of PC MightyMax in the entry for respectable Octoshape plugin.
Regards,
Brahman
-
Another Bug:
TempFile Finder wrongly identifies libsoftokn3.chk, softokn3.chk, and freebl3.chk as temp files, though they are necessary Mozilla components (Firefox and Thunderbird for sure, maybe more).

Excellent!
It must have been a lot of work modifying the program. Thank you very much for making it portable.

I uninstall several apps with the new 2.5 beta. The uninstall went ok but the items were not removed from Add/Remove Programs.
-
Well, the removal from the add/remove applet (as well as the main zsoft uninstaller (ZU) screen) should (as always) be carried out by the actual uninstaller (i.e. the program you run when choosing uninstall from either ZU or the applet).
If it isn't gone, the Post Uninstall feature in ZU should be able to remove it (and other leftovers), and you can also choose to right-click on the item and select 'Delete'.
The normal uninstall-executing-routine hasn't changed from v2.4.x to v2.5.

-
That's very weired... Maybe the applet hadn't updated..?
-
Thank you for the update. Working fine now. :)
May I make two suggestions:
1.) Select all/deselect all buttons would be nice in Post Uninstall Scanner.
2.) Tooltips for long paths and values in Post Uninstall Scanner, so that one can better see what one is deleting, if the path/value is extremely long.
Regards,
Brahman

Actually select all and deselect all is build in as a hidden feature (holding ctrl and shift and typing A L L selects all, and typing N O N E deselects all)
I prefer it as a hidden feature, as one should generally review what one is about to remove ;)
-
OK, sounds very thoughtful, and thank you for sharing hidden feature.
It would also be good if "Post Uninstall Manager" would remove item after post uninstall process has been finished, or option at end of wizard to remove it from manager.
-
Except for an updated help file, a few lines in the language files, and the ability to remove stuff from the post uninstall manager, does ZSoft Uninstaller v2.5 miss anything else before I can release it as a none-beta (or at least as a RC)..?
-
I think Tooltips for long paths and values in Post Uninstall Scanner, so that one can better see what one is deleting, if the path/value is extremely long, would be important for the user to make correct decisions what should be removed.
On very long paths even full screen and changing column widths does not reveal the entire value.

1. Help tooltip info (post uninstall) to: a. deleted items are sent to recycle bin and deleted registry items can be recovered in Functions > Registry Backups. b. Select/deselect all items with ctrl+shift+A L L/N O N E.
2. Shared DLL not handled in v. 2.5 yet?
-
I am wondering when v. 2.5 is going to be non-beta.
Thanks
-
Can't say, really... Once I get time to fix what's mentioned above I guess :/

I am having some problems with this feature. When I hold down ctrl and shift and type ALL, nothing happens. I keep trying and trying, then it finally works after a dozen or so attempts. I think that I am doing it correctly. Is anyone else having problems with this? Are there any tips on how to do it so that it works right off?
Thanks

Well, you should have the listview selected, and then you should type it pretty quickly... You only have half a second per character before the 'this is what you wrote' is reset...

They are working to me. ???
Here perhaps:
BTW ctrl+shift+N O N E works right off and better than A L L (here you need to trying and trying like said greyowl before.

Ahh... The site's just slow, I guess... I'll fix that in the next beta release, thanks! :)

The code is the same, so I sincerely doubt it... It might be easier to write n o n e than a l l though, and thus the timer timing out when writing all... I can try to make the timeout slower..?
-
I can try to make the timeout slower..?
A tray could help maybe...
P.S.: i sent a pm
-
Why not simply use Control-Shift-a and control-shift-n?
-
A tray..?
Ctrl+Shift+A and ctrl+shift+n is too simple, I think... It is still a poweruser / hidden feature... But I'll try to change the timeout-value so it should be easier...

can someone please tell me how do i check what version i got and how can i update my version ?
-
You can check what version you have by finding the properties of the exe file and going to the 'version' tab...
You can update to the newest beta by downloading the rar file and unpacking it in the same folder as your current installation...
-
So far so good!
no bugs here!
At least, not that i know of...
Great job!!!
Love Zsoft-U
:P

Is the current beta still v.2.5.0.80?

yess

Thanks

Thanks
very quiet forum ;)

Yes, it is very quiet. But the developer will respond to any queries in a reasonable time.

I found a long-standing bug, please visit

A general "backup registry uninstall info" it seems a good idea too (just in case of...). A "backup uninstall manager" where these two kinds of backups and the analysed'logs backups can also to be include is an idea. Through that the user would to see/delete the unnecessaries uninstall backups.
-
I have tried for years to get this to work (ctrl + shift + ALL = select all in the post uninstaller).
what on earth am I doing wrong??
-
Yes, it is a bit finicky.
First, click on the window, then hold down Ctrl, Shift, A , now keep holding them down while you hit LL--if it doesn't work try again.
This works for me.
