Bugs / Interesting Access Violation
« Last post by EpicATrain on January 30, 2013, 11:44:02 PM »
I'm sorry I don't have the details of the access violation because I was too busy trying to close the program before it over took my computer.

Temp File Finder - Start - Adjust by Size Column - Close
Analyze - Cancel
Then Try to hover over the tool bar and get an access violation.

I am unable to reproduce at the moment.
1.If I analyze a program  X in order to delete it completely whenever I decide to do so, is not the program going to delete also all other programs that were installed without analyzing between the time of the analyzation and deletion of program  X and/or any changes made to registry between the two steps, and therefore erasing all their keys from the registry?

2.Can you explain about the badware tool please? did not find any explanation to that function in the help file.

Feature Requests / If only I knew.

I do a Google search and find people wanting to restore their registry to the original state. People have suggested to use Windows Backup and Restore but it fails big time because it does not delete newly added registry. It only restores registry entries that was modified. If only people knew about this software! It's one of its kind, I have not come across any other software that delete registry entries and restore the registry entirely to a previous time. So even if my registry becomes corrupted, the software would re-add what was lost.
Now every time I re-install my Windows XP, I will be sure to analyze my registry so I can restore it in the future.

If you just want to backup your registry, add Drive C to ignore list. I added Desktop and My Documents.

Hello. I do an Analyze in installation, then I can back up the logs the program creates or make a copy of the entire program itself and rename it to "Analyzed installation on date ______"

Feature Requests / scan backup

I'm trying your uninstaller and excluding some crashes with the portable version, with the installed version everything is working fine. My compliments.

What about the possibility to save the scan you did?
I mean, you do the pre-install scan. You install the program. Then you do the post-install scan and it creates you the comparison list and put the new entry in the analized tab.

What if I understand that the program had to install also some updates and so on?
I reopen the uninstaller but the previous pre-scan isn't there anymore because I already did a post-scan!
And meanwhile the "update installer" installed everything.

Or many different scenarios.
What do you think?

I am wondering if Zsoft Uninstaller is fully compatible with Windows 7.  Does it work effectively and safely?
