Spam from zsoft Forum

I have been getting spam in the form of notices from the zsoft forum.  Is there any way to stop this?
Below is an example:

A new topic, 'nexium and esophagus related chest pain', has been made on a board you are watching.

The "Updates from the author" board should now only allow me to make new posts, that should stop the notification-spamming.

I've now also added a mod to the forum disallowing users to post links --- considering most (if not all) of the spam being posted here is link-spam, maybe that'll help on the spam-level in general
