The beta seems to load significantly faster than 2.3.4.That must be a coincidence - the only thing changed is the addition of the icons...
The icons work fine, although I don't see any real need for them. I'm surprised at how fast the icons load -- I assumed that the Control Panel Add/Remove applet was so slow because it had to load all the icons. If that's not the reason, why the heck does it take 20+ seconds to load?Well, in ZSoft Uninstaller the icons are cached... that definitely speeds up all but the first run... but I have no good reason why the add/remove applet is so slow...
One very minor bug report: In the temp file finder, when sorting by the "size" column, the list is sorted alphabetically and not by actual file size. I don't really use this feature, so it's no big deal.Actually it is sorted by filesize... However, I've just received a bug-report (also about the sort feature)... If you sorted while the program was still searching you could run into errors...
can't find the build. Assistance please. ;D
I haven't changed the exit-code so that must be a coincidence.
it first looks at the "DisplayIcon" - if there is none it turns to the "UninstallString
Out of curiosity, what do you guys expect from the final release? ::)
from everything I've seen thusfar, does a better job of getting rid of the programs you no longer want.Not unless you have analyzed the installation.
I downloaded and installed a program called "Streamripper". It shows up in the program listing, but not in the list of available programs to uninstall. Is a feature to find the program and uninstall it plausible?In what program listing?
If I 'analyze' each program I install, ZU will remove everything properly, including registry entriesIt should ;)
Out of curiosity, what's your recommendation for installing/uninstalling programs?What I do myself is first uninstalling the program using its own uninstall-routine and then uninstalling using the log file... I honestly don't know if it is the smartest way to do it, but that's usually the way I do it...
And better: you are thinking about...?
?
Build 60 uploaded... (Except Analyzed Programs -> Right-click -> Edit I don't remember what's changed ::))
You can type ser and if you have a folder called server, it will highlight that.
You are partially right. ;) We can do that if we use the search box.
I hate these things... So damn hard to debug things that I can't reproduce :(
Anyway, the press-keyboard-and-goto-function working for you?
