General Support / When's the new version coming out?
« on: November 25, 2005, 04:14:55 PM »

by the way...

Congrats on getting your software on download.com  8)

Old news I guess? Sorry for being slow, I haven't read your frontpage in a while, I usually link straight to the forum! ::)

Instead of the deleting the files completely, how about an option to send them to the Recycling Bin instead?

And when ZU deletes Registry keys, maybe it should back them up incase it deleted an important one, so it can restore keys back.

*wonders what he said*  ;)

I think it's good that you have a forum open to guests, I started posting as a guest, and being honest I wouldn't have even started posting if registration was forced.

On the flip side, you get idiots like above. You obviously have the power of IP banning, but then some people have dynamic IPs...

If you look at Joystiq.com's implementation of the comments system http://www.joystiq.com/entry/1234000777067882/#comments , I think it's the best. If you want to post, you supply a username and email, and when you submit your message it will ask you to visit your inbox and click an activation link for the comment. This happens for everytime you want to post a comment.

P.S. Hurrah for the new version, good work!  ;)

Edit: Whoops, it's not a new version is it? So I withdraw my "Hurrah"  :D ;)

General Support / Re: Could this happen when using the analyse feature...
« on: November 10, 2005, 06:04:26 PM »
Great  ;)

Also, maybe there should be an option to edit/remove individual files and registry settings that have been found by the analysis. So the user can remove items that have been recorded by mistake.

Bugs / Re: Strange CPU usage
« on: November 10, 2005, 01:36:12 PM »
Its weird, it hasn't happened since, so I guess it's a false alarm.

The computer it happened on has a messy/unstable windows installation so it could be something to do with that...

I didn't do anything special.

I'm trying to reproduce the bug again but I can't.

It took about 5 mins last time.

It happened twice before I posted this thread.

If it happens again, I'll make sure to take down more details

I had to stop it because my PC was getting laggy, what do you mean by special?

I'll open it again and give you the thread details.

Just before I closed it the mem usage when down to 600-700K, but CPU usage was still 50% or more

Bugs / Strange CPU usage
« on: November 02, 2005, 07:03:17 PM »
I have a AMD 1800+, for some reason, if I leave ZU open for a little while CPU usage goes to 40-75% even though it's idle/in the background. Mem usage is at 2080K. It has stayed above the 50% for around a two minutes so far and counting... ???
